A growing number of SAP BusinessObjects books are available on the market today. This is growing as SAP BusinessObjects usage become more popular. A number of these have received positive comment within the SAP BusinessObjects community. Based on the general feedback and our collective experience of working in this industry, we have drawn up the following list of books which we consider to the the Best SAP BusinessObjects Books.
In no particular order, these are:
SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 The Complete Reference 3/E
A comprehensive guide providing a detailed overview of the new Information Design Tool (which replaces the old Universe Designer tool), Web Intelligence and BI Launchpad. One of the authors is Cindi Howson who has written several excellent books on the Business Objects product suite.
Business Objects XI: Creating Universes with Designer XI
An excellent book in our opinion, which improves upon the SAP BusinessObjects technical documentation with detailed examples used throughout.
BusinessObjects XI (Release 2): The Complete Reference
An older book covering the previous XI version of the SAP BusinessObjects product suite. However, if your company is still using this version, this is the book to have. Covering the Universe Designer, Web Intelligence and Desktop Intelligence, this book provides the reader with a good understanding of SAP BusinessObjects XI. However, note that the book does not cover the Administration aspects of XI, nor Crystal Reports, Analytics or Data Integrator.
